# Filtering

This page features a complex filtering system to enhance the clients experience while searching for specific products. After clicking "Filter", you should be presented with five top level taxonomies to filter by: Animal, Collection, Rarity, Color, and Size. Their respective terms can be found in the Wordpress backend under Posts -> {taxonomy}.

These terms filter on an AND basis for single terms or an OR basis if multiple terms are selected. For example:

A user selects Monkeys, Unicorns, pink, and blue. They will be presented with all Monkeys and Unicorns that are pink or blue.

Another example:

A user selects Monkeys, pink, and Minis. They will be presented with only Monkeys that are pink and the Minis size.

A user should be able to click on a current filter to remove it from the filtering process. On mobile this requires a double tap with a 1.5 second time out.

The URL structure for this is /products/filterList/{taxonomy}/{term-term}/{taxonomy}/{term-term} and so on.

# Order Presented

In the Wordpress Admin you may presort the products for any given combination of top level taxonomies. For example, you can choose to display Bella at the top of the product listing page for the taxonomies Monkeys and red. This can be done under the Multi Category Positioning plugin page.

This should be double checked once in awhile to ensure it is still working. For further reference, see Plugins -> Multi Category Positioning.

# Collections Page

To check that this functionality is working, start by visiting various product pages and either clicking "Want" or "Have" to add them to their respective collections. Once done you should see the counters update, and the products in their correct collections on the collections page.

Selecting a top level taxonomy from the filter bar should present its respective terms cards for selection.

# Footer Features

A main function of the Wowwee 2.0 Theme is presenting products based on the users location. In the footer of each page you will see three flags:

United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.

To view the site you must be within a preset location (i.e. US, UK, CA). These settings are changable within the Wordpress Admin under "Site Settings" -> "IP/Location Restrictions".

If you are not in a preset location and your IP Address is not Whitelisted in the above settings location, you may only view the full site by adding ?override=true to the URL.

If the theme is functioning properly, one of these flags should display the "active" state.

You can override this setting by adding ?iso=US, ?iso=UK, or ?iso=CA to the url, respectively.
